Abstract
Electrically active fibrous filters are an attractive option because i n their clean state these filters have superior efficiencies to conven tional fibrous fillers of similar structure. Widespread use of such ma terials has been hindered because unlike conventional materials their efficiency often falls as the filter is loaded with particles. The pro cesses by which this happens are not yet understood. In this work an e xperimental study of the effect of particle size, charge, and composit ion on the loading of an electrically active material is reported. Cop yright (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd
