Abstract
The Lake Chubsucker, Erimyzon sucetta, is a robust. moderately deep-bo died member of the sucker family with a wide head. blunt snout and sma ll, slightly inferior. protrusible mouth. It has a disjunct North Amer ican distribution, and in Canada is found only in southwestern Ontario . This species is declining in many parts of its range. The most signi ficant threats to the Lake Chubsucker in Canada are the drainage or si ltation of its critical habitat. In Canada. it prefers a habitat susce ptible to human perturbation. has only been collected in low numbers a t few localities, and is at its northeastern range limit. It has been classified as Vulnerable in Canada.
