We analyze new types of transverse interactions in nonlinear-optical s
ystems with a Kerr slice and diffractive feedback. Results demonstrate
that interactions between the most unstable modes that have wave vect
ors belonging to different mode instability hands (intepballoon intera
ctions) cause the formation of new types of patterns. Made amplitude e
quations for these patterns that account for interactions between thes
e patterns are obtained. Analysis of amplitude equations is confirmed
