Abstract
Ninety-six species of fossil spores and pollen referred to 55 genera f ound in crude oil from the Beisantai igneous rock petroleum pool of th e southeastern part of the Junggar Basin in Xinjiang have been studied . Based on the investigation of the spores and pollen in crude oil, th e petroleum source rocks of the petroliferous province are identified, the petroleum origin theory is discussed and the organic petroleum or igin theory is confirmed.
