Abstract
In 1995, Common Nighthawks (Chordeiles minor) were late arriving from their spring migration, late laying eggs and late migrating from Saska tchewan. Common Nighthawks were observed near Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, Saskatchewan, on and up to 17 October and two and possibly thre e individuals were observed in Regina on 19 October. To our knowledge, this is almost 3 weeks later than has ever been recorded at this lati tude. Although the ambient temperature was near 0 degrees C, these nig hthawks were not in torpor.
