Abstract
Electron paramagnetic resonance determination of prior irradiation was performed upon two sets of samples of fat-free fish bone, obtained fr om fish irradiated at controlled doses unknown to the spectroscopist, 4 and 8 months before the spectra were taken. A definite distinction b etween irradiated and non-irradiated samples was detected. Despite an apparent correlation between dosage and signal intensity, the results could not give a quantitative estimate of the same. The lowest level o f irradiation detectable is far above that which might prove sufficien t in combination treatments.
