Abstract
Verrucous carcinoma of the bladder is a distinct and extremly rare var iant of squamous cell carcinoma, most often associated with schistosom iasis and condylomata acuminata. It is a extremely rare entity unassoc iated with any disease and only 4 cases have as yet been reported in t he literature. Clinical observation has revealed only little tendency to local recurrence and involvement of the lymphatic system. The treat ment options for verrucous carcinoma of the bladder always require sur gical intervention. Non-surgical treatment, even if used adjuvantly to surgery, has been found to be inappropriate in the management of this disease.
