The magnetic domain pattern of several grain oriented samples of diffe
rent thickness (9 and 7 mil) were investigated using the Bitter techni
que. The average domain wall spacing of each specimen is correlated wi
th the results obtained from texture analysis and power loss measureme
nts. It is shown that the texture function predicts correctly the valu
e of the domain wall spacing but this parameter could not be related t
o the total power losses.
