Abstract
In the radiolysis of FBX dosimeter solutions at very low doses and dos e-rates, the reactive transients are formed in low concentrations sepa rated from each other by large distances. Their slow reactions lead to long chain oxidations of Fe2+. The chain termination is less effectiv e because of low concentrations of ferric ions. Excited benzoic acid f ormed in exothermic peroxy reactions increases the chain length furthe r. Copyright (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd
