Abstract
The syn-1-methylallyl complex [(C(5)Me(5))RhBr(eta(3)-CH(2)CHCHMe)] wa s obtained by reaction of [(C(5)Me(5))RhBr2(Me(2)SO)] with vinylmagnes ium bromide, via a vinyl-plus-vinyl coupling. This reaction is related to the vinyl-plus-vinyl coupling reactions of vinyl bromide on rhodiu m particles under Fischer-Tropsch conditions.
