Abstract
The United States has become the home for an increasing number of immi grants and minority adolescents. Suggestions are provided by this arti cle for conducting semi-structured cultural-history interviews, identi fying medical needs, family treatment beliefs, and self-care practices . An outline for increasing the pediatrician's cultural awareness is a lso offered.
