G. Zafiropoulos et Sf. Attfield, AN INTRAMEDULLARY ALIGNED BONE CUTTING JIG FOR ELBOW REPLACEMENT, Medical engineering & physics, 17(2), 1995, pp. 111-114
One of the main post operative complications of total elbow replacemen
t has been dislocation and fracture of the olecranon. This has been as
sociated with rotational malalignment of the bone cuts of the proximad
ulna caused by the current free hand cutting method. This paper prese
nts an intramedullary aligned bone cutting jig which gives rotational
location on the ulna for the bone cuts, without notching the olecranon
.
