Abstract
The equation. phi(t) = epsilon(2) Delta phi + H-2 (x, y) sin phi is co nsidered, which has some applications in the physics of liquid crystal s. The kinetics of the formation of kinks and their motions are studie d, the relaxation times are calculated, the possibility of the formati on of bound kink states is revealed, and the parameters of these state s are calculated for small valves of epsilon.
