Abstract
We have performed a series of 1-D numerical simulations of the x-ray e mission from National Ignition Facility (NIF) targets. Results are pre sented in terms of total x-ray energy, pulse length, and spectrum. Sca ling df x-ray emissions is presented for variations in both target yie ld and hohlraum wall thickness. Experiments conducted on the Nova faci lity provide some validation of the computational tools and methods.
