The elevated temperature mechanical behavior and deformation character
istics of Al2O3 fiber-reinforced NiAlFe matrix composites fabricated b
y powder spray and tape casting techniques were investigated. Tensile
tests were conducted at room temperature, 760, 870, and 980 degrees C.
Flexural creep tests were conducted at 700 degrees C with stresses ra
nging from 100 to 250 MPa. The role of fiber, matrix, and the interfac
e on the tensile and creep behavior of the composite is also discussed
