Abstract
This report describes a case in which normal surgical manipulation dur ing dissection of the heart while performing a repeat revascularizatio n procedure produced a significant deformity in Palmaz-Schatz stents p reviously implanted in a saphenous vein graft. The graft had shown sat isfactory angiographic appearance immediately before the operation, an d consideration was given to leaving it in place. Its replacement, how ever, prevented a major intraoperative mishap. (C) 1997 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons
