The Fe-Mo-C system has been investigated in the iron-rich corner. The
experimental procedure is based upon controlled solidification, differ
ential thermal analysis, and all the classical means of characterisati
on. The liquid-solid equilibria are determined and a revised liquidus
projection is proposed including phase field boundaries which are in a
greement with the observed microstructures and the determined crystall
isation paths. The equilibria at 1000 degrees C are also determined.
