Abstract
The efficient synthesis, molecular and crystal structure, chemical, sp ectroscopical and electrochemical properties and charge-transfer salts of ethyl[2,4-dioxo(1H,3H)pyrimido]tetrathiafulvalene, a novel x-elect ron donor able to form intermolecular hydrogen bonds of nucleic acid b ase-pair type, are described.
