Abstract
This article describes the introduction of a specialized error diffusi
on algorithm to the quantization in cell-oriented computer generated h
olograms. This error diffusion quantization allows the adaptation of t
he calculation of the CGH to application specific requirements like mi
nimum printable apertures.
