Abstract
The effect of four optical brightening agents, chemically incorporated into polystyrene and polyacrylonitrile, on the molecular weight and p olydispersity of the polymers has been investigated. Thermal analysis of the 1,3,5-triazine-stilbene brighteners has been carried out and th e effect on the thermal and thermooxidative destruction of their copol ymers with styrene and acrylonitrile has been studied.
