Abstract
The solubility of zinc oxide was studied in molten LiCl-KCl eutectic a t 450 degrees C. For that purpose, a yttria-stabilized zirconia electr ode was employed as a pO(2-) indicator. The most common calibration me thods were reexamined, and it was shown that the 'weighed additions' m ethod failed. The ZnO solubility product was determined.
