APPLICATION OF O-HYDROXYHYDROQUINONEPHTHALEIN FOR THE FLUOROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ZIRCONIUM(IV) AND GALLIUM(III) IN THE PRESENCE OF TETRADECYLTRIMETHYLAMMONIUM CHLORIDE
I. Mori et al., APPLICATION OF O-HYDROXYHYDROQUINONEPHTHALEIN FOR THE FLUOROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ZIRCONIUM(IV) AND GALLIUM(III) IN THE PRESENCE OF TETRADECYLTRIMETHYLAMMONIUM CHLORIDE, Analytical letters, 28(4), 1995, pp. 649-662
The fluorophotometrtic determination of zirconium(IV) or gallium(III)
with ($) under bar O-hydroxyhydroquinonephthalein (Qnph) was investiga
ted in the presence of tetradecyltrimethylammonium chloride(TTAC) at p
H 4.3-5.3. The calibration graphs had a good linear relationship over
the range 0-36.0 ng/ml zirconium(IV), and 0-28.0 ng/ml gallium(III) by
measuring the fluorescence intensities of the Qnph-zirconium(IV) or Q
nph-gallium(III) solutions at emission wavelength(Em) of 545 nm with e
xcitation wavelength(Ex) of 345 nm, respectively. The relative standar
d deviations for 120 ng/10 ml zirconium (IV) and 140 ng/10 ml gallium(
III) were 1.2% and 1.0%, respectively.
