Abstract
The asymmetric synthesis of the C-9-N-21 fragment of (+)-mycotrienin I is described employing chiral allylsilane bond construction methodolo gy for the installation of the C-12-C-13 absolute stereochemical relat ionships. In this convergent synthesis the construction of the C-9-C-1 6 and C-17-N-21 aromatic synthon subunits and their coupling through a lithio dithiane alkylation strategy are detailed.
