We present optical spectroscopy and infrared photometry of the Be/X-ra
y binary system LSI+61 degrees 303 obtained simultaneously with the ra
dio and high-energy observations reported elsewhere in these proceedin
gs. Whilst the observations do not cover a sufficiently long timebase
to disentangle uncorrelated and correlated behaviour, we do find evide
nce for variations in both the Palmer hydrogen line emission and infra
red photometry from night to night during the observations.
