The COMPTEL observations from mission phases 1-3 have been combined to
construct the first-ever all-sky image of the 1.809 MeV gamma-ray lin
e from radioactive Al-26. We present the database and its exposure cov
erage, as well as the approach to derive a proper background model for
the combination of the similar to 100 different pointings. Features o
f the map are compared to earlier results, global characteristics are
described along with limitations of the map. Significant extended and
compact emission regions are listed with their proposed counterparts.
The implications of this image for the origin of Al-26 are discussed.
