Jja. Scott et G. Panesar, SMALL-SIGNAL SENSITIVITY OF MUSCLE-SPINDLES REINNERVATED AFTER LONG-TERM DENERVATION, Brain research, 671(2), 1995, pp. 325-328
After long periods of denervation regenerated muscle spindle afferents
show functional recovery despite gross histological abnormalities in
their ending structure. This study presents results examining the resp
onses of such afferents to small amplitude stimuli, within the linear
range of the spindle. The majority of regenerated afferents responded
to the stimuli with a sensitivity similar to that of normal afferents.
