A. Mucke et al., AGN STATISTICS OF SIMULTANEOUS RADIO AND GAMMA-RAY OBSERVATIONS, Astronomy & Astrophysics. Supplement series, 120(4), 1996, pp. 541-544
We investigate the behaviour of hat-spectrum radio quasars (FSRQ) in m
ultifrequency radio observations with the 100-m-Effelsberg telescope t
aken quasi-simultaneously with high energy gamma-ray observations duri
ng phases 1 and 2 of the EGRET campaign. We find that FSRQ which are d
etected by EGRET show at the time of the gamma-ray detection a more ac
tive behaviour in the radio band compared to FSRQ which are not detect
ed by EGRET at any time. No correlation is found between the 2.8 cm fl
ux density and the simultaneously observed gamma-ray flux (> 100 MeV),
or between the 2.8 cm-to-6 cm radio spectral index and the integrated
gamma-ray flux. Our data support an earlier finding that AGN are pref
erentially detected in high energy gamma-rays when they are in an incr
easing radio state.
