Abstract
A current algebra model is presented for nuclear photopion production. The elementary particle method (EPM) of this model achieves good agre ement with the experimental results for He-3(gamma, pi+) H-3 in the re gion below the DELTA resonance. We compare our calculations with the r esults of the EPM based on the Born terms. The results of the impulse approximation are also compared to the results of both EPM calculation s.
