Ch. Lee et Sj. Sin, QUANTUM ASPECT OF DARK-MATTER AND STAR-FORMATION IN ELLIPTIC GALAXIES, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 28(1), 1995, pp. 16-19
We propose a mechanism for efficient star formation during the formati
on of an elliptical galaxy, which has been a well-known puzzle in the
'standard' scenario for the Hubble sequence. This mechanism also expla
ins why visible parts of the ellipticals have little angular momentum.
The main idea is to introduce a self-interacting light boson with m a
pproximately 10(-14) eV as a major component of dark matter. We consid
er the quantum aspect of dark matter and the role of the angular momen
tum. To explain the origin of this particle, we suggest a series of la
te-time phase transitions.
