The new density of states applicable to high T(c) (HTS) and low T(c) (
LTS) superconductors is found to have two parts: a BCS (Bardeen Cooper
Schrieffer) like form via a finite order parameter within the pairing
interaction range, T(d) (Debye) and a new result q(w/T(d)=(2/pi) tan-
1 (w/T(d)) via a zero order parameter outside T(d). For large y=T(d)/p
iT(c) (LTS), the q(w/T(d)) is small, and the BCS result is recovered.
The q(w/T(d)) accounts for the low energy states observed in HTS and y
ields the T(2) term in the quasiparticle density as well as the term T
2 in the specific heat at low T.
