Abstract
This article describes external microstrip-microslot applicators with several patches radiating through one or several apertures that have b een developed for microwave hyperthermia controlled by microwave radio metry. The possibility of obtaining larger heating patterns than with the single microstrip-microslot applicators (one patch radiating throu gh one aperture) is clearly focused by the theoretical results that ar e presented and verified by experimental measurements.
