Jp. Negre et C. Ducrocq, RADIATION-INDUCED ATTENUATION IN DETECTORS USING CERENKOV RADIATOR ORPLASTIC SCINTILLATOR, IEEE transactions on nuclear science, 42(1), 1995, pp. 27-32
Some radiation detectors, using Cerenkov radiator or plastic scintilla
tor, operatre at very high dose rates. The accumulated dose greatly af
fects their performance. In fast and high gamma pulse environments, de
tector linearity is of great concern. In this paper we give some resul
ts that show the discrepancy which occurs when the transient radiation
-induced attenuation is too high. We also give a model that can be use
d to determine maximum dose values for gamma pulse measurements and to
correct spoiled data.
