Serum IgG was appreciably lower in chicken-fed aflatoxin B-1 @ 2.5 mu
g/g feed (groups A and AV) than in non-aflatoxin groups (V and C). App
reciable increase in IgG values was evident on DPI 7 and 14 in groups
V and AV. Serum IgM values increased slightly to moderately after infe
ction with IBDV (group V; DPI 3 to 14) as compared to controls (group
C). The chicken of group AV showed slight decrease in IgM values on DP
I7 and slight increase on DPI 14 than chicken of group A. Serum IgA wa
s significantly (P<0.01) lower in chicken fed aflatoxin B-1 (groups AV
) than in non-anatoxin groups. Slight increase was seen in IgA values
in group V after infection with IBDV. Highly significant decrease (P<0
.01) of mean in IgA value was seen on DPI 3 in group AV. At subsequent
intervals (DPI 7 to 14), less significant decrease in the trend of Ig
A value was observed compared to aflatoxin controls (group A).
