Abstract
Research News: Layered ceramic-ceramic composites exhibit improved mec hanical performance over monolithic composites, design flexibility for the solution of complex technological problems such as with functiona lly gradient materials (e.g. Al2O3/Y-TZP, see Figure), and provide a m odel for the study of interfacial reactions between two incompatible p articulate systems.
