Abstract
Research News: Transport-assisted membranes are materials that can per form specific chemical separation and chemical determination tasks. Th ese membranes are conventional polymeric or ceramic membranes incorpor ating a carrier. The use of this technology in the development of ion- selective electrodes using a variety of cyclic ethers and thioethers ( e.g. see Figure) is reviewed.
