Jl. Tella et al., AGE-RELATED DIFFERENCES IN BIOMETRICS AND BODY CONDITION IN A SPANISHPOPULATION OF ALPINE SWIFT (APUS-MELBA), Journal fur Ornithologie, 136(1), 1995, pp. 77-79
Measurements of 141 Alpine Swifts captured in NE Spain are presented.
The data are close to those of a population living in the western part
of the country, but differ from Central European and Caucasian Popula
tions. For the first time in a swift species, differences in bodymass
and body condition between adults and second-year birds are reported.
