We report the use of active stabilization techniques for the recording
of deeply modulated holograms in LiNbO3:Fe, far exceeding the value r
equired for 100% diffraction efficiency. Different possibilities for t
he operation of the stabilized setup are analysed. Experimental result
s using weak irradiance (a few mW/cm(2)) laser beams of lambda = 532 n
m are reported, that are in good agreement with the theoretical model
proposed.
