Abstract
Studies on the attachment and spreading of cells in culture have provi ded valuable insights into the mechanisms by which cells transmit info rmation from the outside to the inside of the cell. This brief review considers recent information on the role of focal adhesion-associated protein tyrosine kinases in integrin-regulated cell signalling.
