an be controlled. All recent studies indicate that chronic superficial
keratitis results from an endogenous susceptibility of certain dogs t
o environmental factors through an immune-mediated phenomenon. lifelon
g treatment is an absolute necessity to prevent the expression of this
hypersusceptibility.
