Abstract
A simple method for the prediction of the normal boiling point tempera tures of medium/high molecular weight compounds is presented requiring as input information the molecular weight and density (at 20 degrees C) only. Excellent results are obtained with an overall average error of 1.7% for the 126 compounds considered. Even if the density is not a vailable, predicted values from a group contribution method can be use d.
