Since July 1993 imported frozen meat of wildboars has to be screened f
or the presence of HCV. The number of taken samples is given by the Mi
nistry of health, sport and consumer protection. Until August 1994 the
total number of 688 samples from different countries, have been exami
nated. Three of them were found positive for HCV. The first one (Novem
ber 1993) was from China, the other two positive samples were sent in
one dilivery from Romania in May 1994.
