Erodium paularense Fdez. Glez. & Izco (Geraniaceae) is an endangered e
ndemic of Central Spain. The characteristics of the habitat and the su
rrounding area of the three populations currently known are described.
Demographic studies in one of the populations detected the presence o
f natural regeneration and no signs of intraspecific competition. A si
gnificant regression between vegetative growth and potential reproduct
ive output was found. Some interactions with other organisms, especial
ly those which may interfere with its reproduction, are described. In
accordance with the results of this study some conservation measures a
re suggested.
