Abstract
Using in situ FTIR ATR spectroscopy, the relative anion content of pol yaniline films on the surface of an electrode was determined. Since th e infrared absorption bands of REO(4)(-) do not interfere with absorpt ion bands of the polymer, aqueous solutions of HReO4/NaReO4 of differe nt pH values were used as electrolytes. From the characteristic infrar ed absorption of ReO4-, a threedimensional plot of the relative anion content vs. electrode potential and pH value is presented.
