Hb. Gu et al., ELECTRICAL AND OPTICAL-PROPERTIES OF CONDUCTING POLYMER COMPOSITES CONSISTING OF CONDUCTING POLYMERS WITH NON-DEGENERATED STRUCTURE, Synthetic metals, 69(1-3), 1995, pp. 449-450
Conducting polymer composites of poly(3-alkylthiophene) and poly(2,5-d
ialkoxy-p-phenylene vinylene) (RO-PPV/PAT) and of poly(3-aikylthiophen
e) and poly(9,9-dialkylfluorene) (PDAF/PAT) were prepared. Electrical
conductivity of RO-PPV/PAT decreases and its activation energy increas
es remarkably with increasing RO-PPV concentration above 60 %. Similar
concentration dependence was also observed in PDAF/PAT. Photoluminesc
ence of the composites also exhibited unique concentration dependence.
In these composites quenching effect of the photoluminescence by PAT
was observed. These unique results were explained in terms of electron
ic energy states of PAT, RO-PPV and PDAF.
