Abstract
We discuss a new experimental technique to verify the theoretical pred ictions made by James ct al. that the measurement of the spatial coher ence properties of a field by spectroscopic means (i.e. spatial cohere nce spectroscopy) could be applied to determine the separation of a pa ir of sources.
