Abstract
We briefly discuss the usual time-reversible descriptions for displace ment- and real-current-fed small-capacitance weak links. Many real lab oratory current sources deliver charge in an intrinsically irreversibl e fashion. We propose a phenomenological description of a weak link fe d by such a source, and contrast its behaviour with the reversible pic ture, using a simple example.
