Abstract
The principles of multi-dimensional spectroscopy are exemplified by th eir application to nuclear magnetic resonance. The design of multi-dim ensional experiments is described in terms of combining basic building blocks and phase cycles. Two novel three-dimensional experiments (XTO NOX and XNOTOX) for the assignment of backbone resonances in N-15-labe lled proteins are used as examples.
