D. Canet et al., A GENERAL COMPUTER-PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING SELECTIVITY PROFILES IN NMR-SPECTROSCOPY, Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences. Chemical sciences, 106(7), 1994, pp. 1449-1462
The computer program presented in this paper yields excitation profile
s (the amplitude of the three magnetization components as a function o
f the resonance frequency) for virtually any pulse sequence employing
hard, soft or field gradient pulses. All instrumental parameters (tran
smitter phase, rf field amplitude, phase cycling and even radio-freque
ncy field homogeneity) and relaxation times can be taken into account.
The efficiency of the program is enhanced by the use of an analytical
solution to the Bloch equations. Some experimental excitation profile
s are provided along with the corresponding simulations. Further simul
ations demonstrate the capabilities of the program.
