Abstract
The possibility of intramolecular catalysis in the alcoholysis of P(II I)-amines was probed using the phosphonites 1 and 2. Sharply increasin g rates of phosphorylation were observed in the acid catalized reactio ns, although kinetic studies showed no dependence on acid concentratio n in the rate of 1. The stereoselectivity of this process was also inv estigated using the chiral system 9.
