Abstract
A structural dimorphism exists in the Dy1-xLaxMn2 (0.05 less than or e qual to x less than or equal to 0.25) compounds. When the C15 Laves ph ase is stabilized, no evidence for a long range order is found althoug h the magnetovolume effect is observed at 34 K. When the C14 Laves pha se is stabilized, an antiferromagnetic order sets in below 38 K withou t any magnetovolume effect.
